Family Health Centers of Baltimore is a not-for-profit federally qualified health center (FQHC), providing primary care services at four locations in the Baltimore Area. We originally opened in 1978 under the name of South Baltimore Family Health Center (SBFHC) as a well baby clinic, located in Cherry Hill. We now provide a wide range of health care services to the community at an affordable cost.
In June of 1987, a small group of strangers gathered to document the lives they feared history would neglect. Their goal was to create a memorial for those who had died of AIDS, and to thereby help people understand the devastating impact of the disease. Thus became the foundation of the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt.
