The Community Child Guidance Clinic is a private, non-profit organization that has been serving Manchester and surrounding towns since 1958. Our behavioral and mental vitality is important to our overall well-being, and we eagerly provide services to over 1,000 families each and every year.

Our programs and services stretch far and wide, including early intervention programs, educational services, home-based interventions, and outpatient services. We strive towards excellence with the services we provide to the children and families we serve. We welcome you to browse our site and contact us at (860) 643-2101 with any questions you have regarding our services. We look forward to speaking with you!

Our mission is to improve our community by providing a system of child centered and family focused mental health services designed to maintain children and adolescents in their home and community.

The Community Child Guidance Clinic School was established in 1974 and offers state approved education and intensive therapeutic services. We serve children ages 3 to 15 years of age with varying academic levels, learning abilities, and behavioral and emotional issues that may impede their ability to learn. A great advantage to our program is the individual attention and stability our children receive due to the small class sizes and high staff to student ratio; currently about 2:1.

Outpatient and Milieu services provide a wide range of diagnostic and treatment services, many of which are specialized programs that target specific problems. Examples of some of the programs offered include trauma services, adolescent substance abuse, and NorthStar, which is an intensive outpatient program for children ages 5 to 12.

Psychological and Developmental services offers early intervention programs, clinical services for CCGC school students and their families, and psychological consultations in the community.

Community and Home-Based services work with families in their homes and communities in order to create a working partnership with families to improve overall functioning. Examples of some of the programs offered include IICAPS, IFP, and parent education classes.
