Stepping Stone is an alcohol and drug treatment program for working women in their early stages of recovery from alcohol abuse.

Founded in 1962, our primary purpose is to assist and support working women as they move toward sobriety and productive living.

We provide comprehensive recovery services in a safe and secure home where women live for 6-18 months.

For the recovering women of Stepping Stone, help begins with you.

Although residents contribute to the operations of Stepping Stone, we need your support in saving women’s lives.

“When I thought I would never be able to get a job again, Stepping Stone gave me hope and strength to transition into my new life of sobriety. They told me there are consequences to poor behavior. I now understand and apply this to all aspects of my life in decision-making and holding commitments. When I struggled with not drinking, Stepping Stone helped remind me of the severity of this disease of addiction and gave me tools to work through it.”

“I give to Stepping Stone because I can see the light of recovery and healing in the eyes of the residents. Stepping Stone is unique in its emphasis on work, education and community service. Residents learn how to function in the world while being supported by fellow women in recovery, a caring staff and a structured environment.”
