Visions Of The Cross, Inc. is a multi-level social model treatment program that includes a faith-based therapeutic community. Our residential and outpatient programs focus on healing from addiction, using both faith-based and evidence-based secular approaches.

Visions also understands a safe environment is crucial to the recovery process. Sober transitional housing combined with outpatient treatment provides safety while strengthening the ability to make positive changes supportive of long-term recovery, health and wellness.

Statistics confirm that treatment is a vital and necessary step to breaking the cycle of addition and abuse. Known for its therapeutic community and huge support system, Visions focuses on recovery-oriented practice. Through a hands-on, non-religious approach, but never denying the power of faith to help a person change, Visions of the Cross treats each person with the utmost dignity, respect, and compassion. Treatment is individualized to meet personal needs at all levels of care.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Visions believes that high success rates are largely due to the quality of expertise and care implemented in the provision of services. Staff specializes in client-centered treatment and utilization of eclectic therapeutic approaches to co-occurring disorders. We offer gender-specific treatment to best help men and women recover. Our staff is dedicated to family restoration, and the urgency to assist individuals in transition back to their families, loved ones and community.

“WE BELIEVE IN MIRACLES”

Our high success rate is due to the ability to provide multiple levels of care. Many individuals and families have found restoration through our evidenced-based faith approach. Visions of the Cross has become known as an organization that is centered in hope, healing and empowerment.

Visions of the Cross, Inc. was founded by Steve and Tammy Lucarelli.  From their own journey in recovery, having first-hand knowledge of the challenges people face and what resources are available in the community to meet their needs, led them to open their first sober transitional living home in 2001.  By 2005, Visions had acquired 12 sober transitional living homes in the Redding area.

In 2007, Visions expanded to 16 sober living homes; providing alcohol- and drug-free housing to hundreds of women, and women with children. Over 190 women have given birth to healthy babies while residing in the safety of our transitional housing.  In October of 2008, Visions became a California state licensed residential treatment facility for women, and women with children. That November, Visions of the Cross, Inc. became certified to provide outpatient treatment to both men and women.

Visions implemented an Adult Maintenance Program (AMP) for both men and women. The AMP program combines outpatient treatment for substance use disorders with safe, sober transitional housing; providing safety and structure to its participants.

We now have 2 CITY BLOCKS with one cul-de-sac for residential substance use disorder treatment, another for sober transitional housing, and three sober-living facilities for men. Visions has a capacity to house 160 residents. Our staff includes a Medical Director, a clinical supervisor, licensed therapists and interns, along with our skilled certified recovery specialists. Visions of the Cross also has pastoral council available to meet the spiritual needs of clients who request this service.
