Programs Offered  Both methadone and buprenorphine help normalize your brain chemistry, prevent withdrawal symptoms, and provide a blocking effect, so if you were to relapse or use opiates you would not feel the effects of what you used.  Please ask our staff about which program best suits your needs!  All programs include a detailed history and physical exam, urine drug screen testing and analysis, educational information re: HIV and Hepatitis C, TB testing and screening, and individual and group counseling services.

Buprenorphine Program (i.e. suboxone and subutex)Detoxification and maintenance programs are available.  This program includes 2-3 medical visits during your first week of treatment to stabilize you on the medication.  Typically, after the first week of treatment, you are required to attend the program 1-2 times/month depending on how you are doing in treatment.   Click here for Buprenorphine Induction Instructions and Information.

Methadone Maintenance Program Long-term program utilizing methadone, which includes individual and group counseling.  Free psychiatric services available.  Medi-Cal accepted.

Short-term Detoxification Program (21 days)Short-term program utilizing methadone in decreasing doses over a 3 week period.  This program is appropriate for those seeking treatment for the first time or for short-term users.  This program includes two individual counseling sessions, access to on-site groups, referral services and limited medical services.  We strongly recommend the use of certain amino acids and vitamins when withdrawing from methadone.  Ask our staff about vitadone, Neuro-Recover, or other options.  Participants who have longer addiction histories and/or are using high volumes of opiates (i.e. heroin, oxycontin, norco, codeine, vicodin, etc.) are more appropriate for maintenance or long-term detoxification.  Medi-Cal accepted.  Please contact Jason Smith at (916) 442-4985 to about this program.

Long-term Detoxification Program (180 days)Short-term program utilizing methadone over a 6 month period.  We attempt to stabilize you as quickly as possible in a medically safe manner.  After you have stabilized we maintain you on your stabilization dose for approximately 3 months and do a gradual taper off the methadone over the last 2-3 months.  Private pay only. Please contact Jason Smith at 442-4985 to about this program.
