Congratulations to the nine facilities for being awarded American Correctional Association (ACA) reaccreditation in 2016. The facilities passed their examination with impressive scores of 100% on all mandatory standards, and eight out of nine facilities received perfect scores of 100% on all standards.

A proud day at CEC’s Talbot Hall in Kearny, New Jersey, as five former residents of the residential reentry facility celebrated their graduation from Rutgers University. To assist residents with furthering educational pursuits, Talbot Hall works in conjunction with the Mountainview program, designed to assist students with New Jersey Scholarship and Transformative Education in Prisons Consortium (NJ-STEP).

The Kinney County Detention Center (KCDC) in Brackettville, Texas, is proud to continue their tradition of community outreach by giving back to local organizations. Recently the 416-bed detention center donated to both the Brackettville Independent School District (BISD) scholarship fund and the Kinney County EMS. Mike Caltabiano, Senior Vice President of CEC Corrections, Mike Holm, Regional Director for CEC Corrections, and Warden John Bealefeld of KCDC were in attendance to present the donation at a County Commissioners meeting in June.
