The mission of the SORCC Addiction Treatment Program (SATP) is to deliver evidence-based therapies to help Veterans learn recovery skills and develop recovery resources based on their identified strengths, needs, abilities and preferences. The SATP helps veterans identify the negative consequences of their substance use, develop individual recovery goals and objectives, learn how to prevent relapse, and practice recovery skills in a supportive group environment.

SATP promotes recovery through the use of motivational interviewing, stages of change, cognitive-behavioral, contingency management, community reintegration and relapse prevention modalities.
