A luxurious place for healing, Balance Treatment Center is a private licensed Mental Health Rehabilitation Center hidden away in the Santa Monica Mountains, miles from Los Angeles and minutes from Malibu. We are among the only private six bed mental health facilities in the state of California. In such a quaint and serene setting, unlike many larger institutions, our staff is able to provide the best in personalized and attentive care. Our facility offers an extremely intimate treatment environment that allows our clients to heal and gain stability in their lives. At Balance, clients will reside in a beautiful and secluded private home where they will receive our one-to-one focused care which sets us apart from other treatment centers. We have created a space of utmost peace and comfort to match our quality of care.

At Balance Treatment Center, we treat clients struggling with a variety of emotional and psychological issues including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis, PTSD, dual diagnosis and substance abuse issues. Upon arrival each client will be given an individual assessment to identify their specific needs. Every client’s unique treatment is crafted by our expert team of doctors and therapists and customized to match the client’s personal needs. We utilize proven evidence-based treatment modalities and a non 12-step approach to substance abuse issues. Our dedicated staff with years of experience strives to help each client reach their full potential and live a life free from the constant struggle of mental health disabilities or other addictive behavior.

Balance is a treatment philosophy unique, innovative and vastly comprehensive in its approach. We believe that stability can only be achieved by healing and rebuilding the whole of one’s life. At the core of our treatment philosophy are four key areas in everyone’s life: emotional, social, educational and physical. When these four areas are in balance, true and long-term recovery and stability can be achieved.

At Balance we have multiple treatment options and levels of care for issues related to mental health, substance abuse, dual diagnosis, and trauma. Some individuals may not want a residential program, but are struggling with stability and are in need of a structured, consistent and comprehensive program. They may recognize that weekly therapy alone is not enough. Other individuals may have completed inpatient or residential treatment and need help making the transition back into everyday life with continued stability. Our Intensive Outpatient Program, Malibu Balance Day Treatment, offers a supportive group environment to help with everyday stressors and struggles.

We offer Intensive Outpatient Programs for both adults and for adolescents lasting 8-12 weeks, depending on the client’s needs. Clients will attend the IOP for 3 hours a day, 3 times per week and return home daily.
