It is the mission of San Martin De Porres Counseling Center to treat at-risk families and youths in trouble for the purpose of healing and preserving the family through the use of psycho- therapeutic and psycho-educational methods.

Counseling Individual, Family and Conjoint

Counseling helps you increase your self-awareness, improve family relationships, resolve family problems and set family goals

Parenting Training / Child Abuse Prevention; English and Spanish

This program provides instruction and practice in parenting skills, including child development, appropriate discipline, home management, stress reduction, etc.

Group Homes / Foster Homes

Individual, Family and Group Counseling for group home residents. Family Reunification: Administration, Facility Management, Consultation Alcohol and Drugs and Anger Management

CBI Program, 5 Hour, All Saturday Program

This service is for Teens only. Structured program helps resolve youth and family problems associated with delinquent behavior. Truancy, Shop-lifting, Anger problem, Drug and Alcohol problem, etc.

When needed, you or other family members may receive outpatient treatment services. (Insurance, Medi-Cal or Cash accepted)

Substance Abuse, Treatment for Adults

Treatment of Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Your family may need to participate in a treatment program if you or other family members use alcohol and/or drugs.

Anger Management For Adults

Help you understand your Anger. Group / Individual Sessions. Lead you to self Discovery and Self Improvement

Teen Substance Abuse Program

Teen Alcohol and Drug use prevention and intervention program. Group / Individual Counseling.

Group Counseling. Destruction of property, looses temper, shop-lifting, stealing, coercive behavior, bullying, lying, fighting, etc.

Behavior Modification, Impulse Control, Accountability. English and Spanish. County of Los Angeles Approved Center.

Domestic Violence / Batterer's Treatment Program (Perpetrators / Victims)

Domestic Violence Diversion Program. For Men and Women. English and Spanish. County of Los Angeles Approved Center.

One-on-one counseling for students. In-Service training for faculty and staff. Crisis intervention. Psychological testing and evaluations.

Victims of Violent Crime

Persons who sustained injury. (physically or emotionally) as a direct result of a crime Persons who are dependents of the victim.

San Martin de Porres Center, a non profit mental health agency, designed to use therapeutic and Psycho-educational methods to treat Psychological and Emotional problems to enhance a healthier and happier living for the individual and family.

Our primary objective is to provide low cost, and quality mental health services to the residents of Los Angeles County.

Our Center is responsive to the changing needs of the community, the family and the individual, as we attempt to weave the fabric of tradition and vision into a shared profit for our common good.

Angel of Light Volunteer Program

Volunteers bring in a wealth of experiences, ideas and energy to our programs.  We believe that volunteers of every background and experience can contribute to the development of existing programs and new programs.

We encourage you to touch the life of a child, a family, or a youth in a positive sense, whether your schedule allows for a weekly commitment  or just one-time event.  We welcome any unique projects or ideas you may suggest and want to develop at San Martin de Porres Center.

Volunteer Committees organize San Martin fundraising and educational forums.  Committee members collaborate to plan entire events:  choosing themes, projecting budgets, soliciting donors, designing publicity campaigns, and handling public  relations.

Volunteers sit on Advisory Councils to discuss issues and challenges affecting several programs.  Based on knowledge and familiarity of the program, volunteers are encouraged to share their insights at the Council meetings held throughout the year.
