Quality Alcohol and Drug Treatment Care since 1984

A Message from our founders

"Cornerstone is a Family-Run Recovery and Treatment Center and we hope you find your answers here."

Jessica & Michael Stone, MD

"I have been working with alcoholics and drug addicts since 1969 and I founded Cornerstone in 1984. During this time it has become obvious that the majority of patients and their families can be safely and more comfortably treated in a home environment like Cornerstone. My staff and my family have enjoyed the ability to do this work, providing the best care with dignity."  Michael Stone MD

We accept insurance and private pay.

We are not a Medi-Cal or Medicare provider.

Cornerstone provides: Drug Detox, Alcohol Detox, Alcohol Rehab, and Drug Rehab treatment programs that are individualized for each person entering our Center. We are the #1, adult program for addiction, in Orange County, Southern California.

We develop a unique recovery plan for each client suffering from addiction or abuse of alcohol and/or drugs.

The most common problems we see, apart from alcohol dependency, are prescription tranquillizer dependency and abuse (Xanax, Valium, Librium, Ativan, Serax, Soma, Barbiturates) and narcotic prescription painkiller dependency and abuse (Oxycontin, Percocet, Vicodin, Norco, Tramadol, Darvon). Other problems from dependency on methadone, heroin, and Suboxone; stimulant dependencies to cocaine, meth addiction, methamphetamine, adderal and Ritalin. Marijuana dependency is common, but dependencies on PCP, LSD, ketamine, GHB and ecstacy are less frequently seen.

Cornerstone provides a full continuum of care including Detoxification, Primary Rehabilitation, Extended Care, Outpatient Treatment, Alternative Sentencing, Recovery Homes and Sober Living in Orange County California.

We are nationally accredited by The Joint Commission, Licensed and Certified by the State of California and Probation Approved. We have contracts with most insurance plans and work well with many known, large employers both locally and nationwide.

Michael Stone, M.D, our founder, along with our dedicated and caring staff have been helping addicts and their families since 1969. In 1984, he founded Cornerstone of Southern California, which currently has drug and alcohol treatment facilities in Orange, Santa Ana and Tustin, CA. In addition to licensed/certified alcohol and drug counseling staff, many of our support staff are in recovery and all have credentials of the heart.

We believe that we provide the best clinically experienced staff and programs you will find. How do we know? Our clients tell us every day, and those that have been in other centers say they wish they had come to Cornerstone first.

It is the truly caring staff that makes Cornerstone the best rehab I have been to. The best part was finally getting my depression medications right, after many others tried for 2 years. Jim V.

Dr. Stone, I am so grateful to your program and also your generosity. I was a hopeless addict who believed there was no way of getting clean. Thanks to my sister and Cornerstone staff, I recently took my 90 day chip in N.A. Thanks, my life has been changed. Isaac C.

We provide very flexible, fully integrated programs including Drug and Alcohol Rehab, Drug and Alcohol Treatment, Social Model and Medical Detox, Partial and Full Day Treatment, Intensive morning and evening Outpatient, Pain Management support, Residential Rehab and Treatment, Intensive Inpatient Residential, Extended Care Program, Alternative Sentencing Programs, Recovery and Sober Living Homes.

Cornerstone programs are in normal, home-like settings in upscale neighborhoods. We believe that a person suffering from addiction should have a good foundation for recovery when participating in normal everyday functions. In addition to Group Therapy, Individual Therapy Lectures, and Assignments, our residents follow a daily routine similar to what they will do when they leave treatment.
