Drug and alcohol addiction is a physical and psychological dependence on a substance despite harmful consequences. Addiction reveals itself in a variety of ways, including missing work or school, forgetting actions during social engagements and/or arguing with loved ones. Left untreated, drug and alcohol addiction can destroy relationships and impact a person’s professional and personal life for years.

Family Health Centers of San Diego’s dedicated team located at our Alcohol & Other Drug Services Center (3928 Illinois Street, San Diego, CA 92104) provide access to comprehensive, client-centered services in a welcoming environment, treating the physical and mental health of individuals seeking treatment for substance abuse. Our services are flexible to each client’s unique needs and type of care after discharge.

We accept Medi-Cal and Medicare and provide low-cost and sliding scale fees based on income, eligibility and family size. We are funded in part by the County of San Diego Behavioral Health Services.
