SPARC believes substance dependence and mental health disorders are biopsychosocial in nature.  They are progressive, chronic, can be fatal but are treatable.  Both disorders are multidimensional in which biological and sociocultural factors interact to produce this illness.  Based on this belief SPARC treatment services are evidence based & multidimensional so they can be tailored to address the needs of each individual with the outcome of recovery.

To provide licensed, credible, responsive, comprehensive, and evidence based therapeutic continuum of care, focusing on the general and specific needs of the whole person, representative of a low-income or indigent chemically dependent and/or mentally ill adult population.  SPARC exists to recognize, serve, and respect each individual who enters treatment or seek support, as an individual worthy of helping, without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, socioeconomic status, veteran status, or sexual orientation.

SPARC receives public funding from contracts with BHO’s throughout the State of Washington and from the Spokane County Regional BHO to assist low-income individuals with accessing their treatment needs.  All treatment is in accordance with HIPAA and Federal Regulations (42 CFR Part 2)

Our friendly and supportive staff are dedicated to seeing each individual reach their recovery goals.  With the use of cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and motivational enhancement therapy our counselors collaboratively work with each person to help them make the necessary changes in behavior and thinking to remain abstinent.
