Pima Prevention Partnership (PPP) is a nationally-recognized and award-winning non-profit agency, which has been creating conditions for change among youths, families, institutions, and community groups since 1992. PPP has offices and programs in Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona, as well as a branch office in Pago Pago, American Samoa. The Pima Prevention Partnership specializes in helping underserved adolescents and their families. We operate three charter schools, grades 6-12, in both Tucson and Phoenix. We also provide extensive prevention services, restorative justice through the Pima County Teen Court, substance abuse treatment and recovery support for teens, and family strengthening workshops. Combined, our services reach over 9,000 youth and families each year. We also provide technical services for other nonprofit and governmental institutions across the U.S. and the Pacific Jurisdictions, providing program evaluation, training, and assistance with public health policy development. Please contact us if we can be of service to you or if you would like to visit any of our programs.

Pima County youth ages 14-18 in foster care are paired with an adult volunteer mentor for at least a year while completing rigorous job, life and soft skills training and receiving ongoing academic support.  The goal of this effort is to ensure these teens return to and/or stay in school, graduate, and obtain valuable entry-level job skills to obtain employment at a livable wage.

This initiative has been made possible with funding from the Arizona Governor’s Office on Workforce Development.
