First Step House is a leading organization in the field of addiction recovery. We help people who are struggling with substance use and behavioral health disorders. We offer a range of services including residential treatment, outpatient treatment, long-term recovery management, transitional housing, case management, and evidence-based therapies. Our goal is to create an environment that fosters, supports, and enables long-term recovery.

First Step House offers substance use disorder treatment programs in both residential and outpatient settings to accommodate each client’s individual need for care. We distinguish ourselves in the industry through our committment to being client-centered as well as our efforts to incorporate evidence-based practices into all of our programs and services.

First Step House therapists work closely with each man to develop an individualized treatment plan that is client-driven and responds to his individual needs. In order to best meet the needs of our clients, we offer a wide range of groups and classes including recovery-oriented cognitive process groups, relapse prevention, moral development, anger management, relationship education, and more. Our clients participate in individual and family therapy as determined by their treatment plan.

Our mission is to help people build lives of meaning, purpose, and recovery. We do this by addressing the unique needs of each individual.
