At Family Counseling Center, you’ll find therapists, counselors, and social workers that have years of experience in various backgrounds. Family Counseling Center’s Outpatient Substance Abuse Program provides individualized, integrated substance abuse and mental health treatment to substance abusing adults. We have the unique ability to provide all substance abuse assessment and treatment by highly qualified licensed mental health therapists. After completing a comprehensive assessment, the Primary Therapist, in collaboration with the client, develops a treatment plan designed to address specific needs. A course of treatment may include any combination of methods, group, individual, couples or family therapy, psychiatric evaluation, medication management and strategies including motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral, skill development, and relapse prevention. All of these services take place at the same location. Seventy nine percent of our clients with substance abuse at intake have become abstinent or have reduced their use of harmful drugs.
