Included are those who voluntarily seek treatment for such issues, as well as those who are referred through the court system.

Ann P. Johnson MED, LAC, CSATAnn P. Johnson has been a licensed Therapist in the state of Colorado since 1980; she received her Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis in Guidance Counseling from Murray State University (Murray, KY. 1979). Ann has been the director of Touchstone Counseling since 1988. She began her career as a therapist first at a pain management clinic and working with women at Planned Parenthood. Ann found her passion when she began treating clients with addictions and codependency issues. Ann received her training, and certification, as a sex addiction therapist in 2002. When Ann is not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her three cats and water aroebics.

Nancy Taylor MS, CAC IIINancy Taylor has a Masters degree in Counseling / Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy and has been a Certified Addictions Counselor since 1992. Nancy utilizes a strength-based, systems approach for treating individuals and families. She specializes in working with families and individuals effected by addictions, trauma, depression and ADHD. Nancy's many interests include swimming, gardening, animals and spending time with friends.

Miranda Middleton MA, LPCMiranda Middleton, who has an M.A. degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver in 2007. Ms. Middleton is a Licensed Professional Counselor  (L.P.C.). Ms. Middleton, originally from England, brings to her practice a lifetime of experience and wisdom. With training as a medical technologist and years of teaching experience, Ms. Middleton takes a collaborative approach to counseling. Ms. Middleton takes an approach of openness and acceptance, while providing insight and direction, thus creating an opportunity for people to feel truly heard and understood: “It is from this listening place, that true understanding arises, and it is from understanding, that confidence and happiness grow.”

Whether you are struggling with relationship issues, parenting concerns or your own life path, working with a counselor is like working with a personal trainer, and it is your life you will be improving.

Many sessions are attended by Miranda's therapy dog, Lucy. Lucy is a young, affectionate and mellow Golden Retriever who has been working since she was a puppy. I find her influence to be very helpful with both children and certain adults who find the presence of an animal to enhance trust and comfort. If you are allergic to or afraid of dogs, please let me know ahead of time, and Lucy will not be at the office.
