There is still time to enjoy some summer fun in Medora, ND. Don't miss your chance to see the Medora Musical this year. Set in the outdoor splendor of the rugged North Dakota Badlands, this professionally produced, western-style musical show is dedicated to the legacy of America's 26th President, Theodore Roosevelt, and the time he spent here in the Badlands.

The North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum has launched a new website. They have four new galleries that tell the fascinating story of North Dakota through thousands of artifacts and specimens, high-tech displays, and interactive exhibits. Make sure you stop by, as always, it is free to view all of the galleries.

The North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum and two new exhibits are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Make sure you stop down and see the history of North Dakota!

Come to the State Capitol on September 15th to enjoy a Pride of Dakota Day. Shop from 50 Pride of Dakota members. Booths are located on the west end of ground floor and in Memorial Hall on first floor. You will find unique products including gourmet food, art, books, jewelry, clothing, home decor and more.

North Dakota's deer archery season opens Friday, Sept. 2 at noon. Bow hunters are reminded that deer bow licenses and accompanying tags are only available through electronic purchase. Bow hunters can buy a license online, by calling 1-800-406-6409, or at electronic licensing retailers.

The North Dakota Game and Fish Department's Private Land Open to Sportsmen (PLOTS) Guide for 2016 is now available online. In addition, the PLOTS Guide is available at most license vendors throughout the state.

State offices are closed Monday, September 5th in observance of Labor Day.
