The Gulf Coast Center is one of thirty-nine community centers in the state of Texas providing services, programs and employment assistance for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), mental illness,  HIV or needing substance abuse recovery services. Programs and services offered by the Gulf Coast Center have made progress toward enabling and empowering individuals and their families to live quality lives. Medication related services including pharmacological management, medication administration, medication training and support services as well as ongoing medication monitoring.

Family-focused, community based mental health services and supports targeted to children and their families.

Mentally disabled consumers are provided with Social Security Administration (SSA) trained staff to assist them in processing their claim through to a favorable decision.

Individual and family counseling along with education.

Also known as “Connect Transit”, the Center offers transportation services to the general public.

Day Activity Programs in a Ranch type setting for children and adults each week throughout the summer.

The Gulf Coast Center is a member of the Military Veteran Peer Network (MVPN).
