Mirror, Inc. Hires New CEO

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—The Mirror, Inc. board of directors announced today that Barth Hague has been hired to assume the President/CEO position at Mirror, Inc.  Hague assumes this role as the current President/CEO Beverly Metcalf plans her retirement at the end of the year.

A Kansas native, Hague has an extensive background in volunteer service and marketing and communications.  Since 2005, he has served as the Chief Marketing Officer for Wichita State University.  There, Hague assisted in building the university’s recruitment efforts by building the school’s brand.  Hague also serves as city commissioner and vice mayor of Newton, positions he was elected to during the April 2015 city general election..

"Mirror, Inc. and its board of directors welcome Barth Hague as its new President/ CEO,” said Janis Whitfield, Mirror board chair.  “Barth comes with outstanding experience from Wichita State University and the skill set Mirror needs to address new challenges in the changing world of substance abuse and healthcare services.”

Hague will transition into his new position beginning November 2, 2015, when he will assume the role as Mirror, Inc. President.  He will take on the CEO title upon Metcalf’s retirement on December 23. Hague says his first order of business will be to learn about Mirror and the communities it serves so that he can continue to build a strong, dynamic organization on the great foundation that is already in place.

“I am deeply honored by this appointment,” said Hague. “Mirror is a special organization with a very successful past. I am anxious to roll up my sleeves with the board and staff in continuing to build on that success and pursue Mirror's important mission."

The retiring Metcalf has served Mirror Inc. for nearly 37 years.  She joined the organization as a substance abuse counselor in 1979 and assumed the top job in 1980.  During Mecalf’s tenure, Mirror Inc. has grown into one of the largest facilities of its kind in Kansas, offering integrated behavioral healthcare services in over 20 locations statewide.

“Bev has done an outstanding job of leading the company for many years and the board wishes her well as she begins her retirement,” commented Whitfield.  “Mirror will continue to be a leader in the field of substance abuse and healthcare services as we move forward."

Mirror, Inc. was established in 1972, and is a not-for-profit, private corporation providing community health and human services to people in need. Mirror offers integrated behavioral healthcare and community-based correctional re-entry programs in over 20 communities across the state of Kansas.
