NRI's hospital-based inpatient program was designed to meet the needs of individuals with a brain injury or other neurological disorders who require around-the-clock monitoring and intensive medical care.

Treatment takes place in our newly built, state-of-the-art facility that includes 11,000 square-feet of self-contained residential, treatment and recreational space. In addition, an adjacent building, known as the Brookhaven Annex, provides over 7,000 square-feet of newly remodeled space for recreation and home training skills.

The Lifespan Alternative is a new alternative to residential care for individuals with a brain injury. Instead of delivering peace and comfort, nursing homes often become places of loneliness and despair for survivors of a brain injury.

Developed by the Neurologic Rehabilitation Institute (NRI), a component of Brookhaven Hospital, it has been offering services to individuals affected by brain injuries and other neurological disorders for over two decades.
