Arkansas Treatment Services, PA provides outpatient treatment services in Texarkana, Arkansas for persons addicted to the opioid class of drugs, including prescription pain medications and heroin. We prescribe, dispense and administer methadone.

Once determined medically appropriate for admission, patients are admitted to a comprehensive treatment regimen that includes methadone, individual and group counseling, and other support services.

Our services are intended to promote recovery through a treatment philosophy that emphasizes the active participation of the patient in the entire treatment process.

During the initial phases of treatment, patients come to our facility every day for medication and counseling. As patients demonstrate stability in their recovery and conform to state and federal requirements, they may earn "take-home" privileges to reduce the number of days each week/month that they must attend the clinic.

Prescription drug abuse and opiate addiction impact millions of Americans each year and the results can be seen every day in shattered lives, devastated families, broken dreams, and lost opportunities. Far too many Arkansans and their families suffer from opiate dependence (addiction). But as devastating as addiction can be, the good news is that help is available.

We know from experience that lives can be restored, families can be healed, dreams can become reality and opportunities can be regained. And we know that methadone - when combined with professional counseling and support services - can be an effective part of the recovery and restoration process.

Methadone is one of the most widely researched and effective medications on the market and was first used in the United States in the 1960s. Since that time, it has been successfully used in the treatment of opiate addiction and is both safe and effective when prescribed in the appropriate dosage. Methadone acts by suppressing withdrawal symptoms and reducing cravings and when compared to the cost of supporting an illicit "drug habit," is an economical and practical alternative that promises the best opportunity for a better life. Plus, methadone can be safely administered to women who are pregnant.

We recognize that reaching out for help may be difficult and we understand the stigma often associated with addiction and methadone treatment. For that reason, we provide confidential assessment and treatment services in a quiet, professional atmosphere that promotes the dignity and self-worth of those people we serve. We do not judge, ridicule, criticize or harass, and we conduct our business and our clinical practice in a way that is consistently positive, supportive, and encouraging.

If you or someone you know is suffering from addiction to heroin, Oxycontin, Oxycodone, Lortabs, Lorcet or other prescription (opiate) drugs, help is as close in southwest Arkansas as your phone or e-mail. Call or e-mail us to schedule a free, confidential assessment or to request more information about the services we provide.
