Welcome to Transitional Services of Iowa TSI services assist children and families who are struggling with a number of family issues and need support and assistance with those respective issues.  TSI realizes every individual and family goes through a number of changes. These changes can potentially cause emotional or behavioral problems in children which ultimately affects the entire family. TSI staff is trained to intervene and educate children and their families regarding skills such as: conflict resolution, communication, interpersonal relationship, problem solving, social skills, executive (shifting cognitive set/organization and planning/separating thoughts and emotions), language processing (emotional vocabulary), emotional regulation, and cognitive flexibility. TSI provides individualized services through a comprehensive assessment to assist children, adults and families in overcoming life’s challenges. TSI identifies the needed services through the comprehensive assessment to individualize services for each family. Services that are provided include: Individual, Family and Group therapies that address multiple emotional and behavioral issues. Services are available to people of all ages and are aligned to address needs to one’s developmental capabilities. The strength-based approach is utilized to alleviate stress and strengthen individuals and their families. Because we offer therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults and address mental health, spiritual health, physical health and any substance abuse issues the rates of success for our services are much higher than if just dealing with one facet of the individual or family.
