To provide innovative, responsive, cost effective, non-sectarian human services that enhance the quality of life for children, families and the aged in our community, while reflecting the shared compassion, ancient wisdom and unifying traditions of Judaism. In 2016, we will celebrate 40 years of providing comprehensive, caring Mental Health and Social Services to the residents of Monmouth County, regardless of their age, income, social status, race or religion. The JF&CS of Greater Monmouth County continues to serve the community through three offices --Asbury Park, Morganville, Eatontown--, with more than 30 needed and imaginative programs. Our programs are funded through both private and public donations. With a staff of dedicated professionals, we provide mental health and social services and both individual and group counseling to more than 635 clients a year.

Not Part of Our "Official Caseload"

In our organization the social workers and addiction counselors are not the only ones who help people overcome challenges.  In fact it it could be said that administrative and support staff carry caseloads of their own and make a difference in both little and big ways.

It starts with a welcoming spirit and treating people with the dignity they deserve.  There are many local residents who see our main office in Asbury Park as kind of a refuge where they are welcome and can use our facilities, be it the phone, fax machine or bathroom.  A short visit to our waiting room can make someone who feels isolated, like they are part of a family.

Some of this support extends beyond what can be accomplished within the confines of our office.  It might include home delivery of food for someone who is not ambulatory or shopping for someone who cannot afford to buy the foods that are required ford one on a restricted diet.

At the core of these efforts is the belief that people need to feel welcome and connected to those who care about their well-being.
