The mission of Niles Home for Children is to meet the mental health and educational needs of at-risk children and their families, empowering them to become confident and contributing members of society.

Skylar had been in the foster care system since she was about two years old. When she began her journey at Niles, she wasn't too keen on building relationships and she would not do anything without being directed, including bathe and get ready for school.

Research suggests that giving has multiple benefits, for both the recipient and the giver.
