CAMILLUS HEALTH is a private, non-profit organization that provides comprehensive health care, behavioral health and social services to the homeless and poor in Miami-Dade County.

Located in downtown Miami at 336 NW 5th Street — and operating in four satellite sites around downtown — our committed team of healthcare professionals is dedicated to maintaining the health and well being of Miami's least fortunate residents. We offer comprehensive medical, dental, and behavioral health care, as well as health education and specialty care.

Following the teachings and example of Jesus Christ, Camillus Health's mission is to provide Christian hospitality and respect for life through direct services of health care, outreach, counseling and case management to persons who are poor and homeless in South Florida.

Operating as a ministry of the Little Brothers of the Good Shepherd, the center delivered its first health care services in 1984, when a group of volunteer doctors began to provide basic services to clients eating dinner at the Camillus House soup kitchen. Since then, Camillus Health has grown into a sophisticated, professional health care delivery organization operating a state-of-the-art health center with community and street outreach sites. Camillus Health has been a Healthcare for the Homeless 330(h) grantee through the Bureau of Primary Health Care since 1989 and was designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in 1996. Camillus Health is the only free-standing, comprehensive Healthcare for the Homeless funded provider in Miami-Dade County and is the only agency in the county that exclusively provides healthcare for persons who are homeless.Camillus Health provides a comprehensive and multidisciplinary range of primary, preventive and supplemental health services for all patients. Services include primary adult and pediatric medical care, women's health services, podiatry, oral health, dermatology, behavioral health, transportation, and case management services. We offer primary health care services through our main site in downtown Miami and operate a satellite site at the Camillus House campus in Miami's health district. 

Camillus Health is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n). Camillus Health is an FTCA deemed community health center.
