Our daytime outpatient program focuses on substance dependency and eating disorders in women, and provides each client with intensive, personalized, comprehensive, and female-oriented care.

Two Locations to Better Serve You

Our female-specific program is featured in two locations - the beautiful beaches of West PalmBeach, Florida and the picturesque, mountainside scenery of Asheville, North Carolina.

Many women who suffer from substance dependency concurrently struggle with negative body image issues, oftentimes manifesting themselves in the form of severe and life-threatening eating disorders.

Willow Place for Women was founded in 2011 by Dixie Brown and Allyson Chambers – two compassionate women with a personal investment in eating disorder and substance abuse recovery. They recognized the specific needs of women who were seeking a safe healing place for recovery from eating disorders and substance abuse. This realization led them to a small boutique setting in West Palm Beach, where they developed a beautiful, quiet and comfortable setting for women to truly begin the process of thorough healing. Together, they developed a program for substance abuse and eating disorders that would lead women down the path to stability, hope and comprehensive recuperation.

When considering whether or not you truly need inpatient or outpatient rehab, it is crucial to keep in mind the fact that addiction is a progressive disease. Although you may not have suffered severe external consequences as result of your drinking and drugging, the emotional turmoil that goes hand-in-hand with substance abuse and dependency will only continue to worsen if professional help is not sought. If you are considering the possibility that you might have a problem, chances are you do. And seeking treatment sooner rather than later will prevent years of emotional, mental, and physical pain later down the line. Call today – get the help you need.

Outpatient treatment is a viable option for women who may not be able to commit to an extended stay at a residential treatment facility. Our outpatient program provides clients with intensive therapeutic care for roughly 8 hours per day, allowing them to return home after treatment to tend to those they may care for. While we do recommend inpatient treatment to those who simply cannot cease use on their own, outpatient is an ideal option for women who need intensive care but cannot take an extensive break from prior obligations.

Female addicts and alcoholics internalize the trauma of substance abuse and dependency in ways entirely different from men. Many female addicts are simultaneously afflicted with eating disorders – predominantly anorexia, bulimia, and compulsive overeating. We at Willow Place for Women treat addiction and eating disorders simultaneously, providing our clients with the most comprehensive dual diagnosis care available. Additionally, women tend to feel safer and more comfortable opening up about gender-specific issues and experiences when in all-female group settings. Our female-exclusive facility allows for women to openly express themselves while fostering healthy, supportive, and fundamental relationships with other women.

The eating disorder program at Willow Place has helped me tremendously. I have learned how to eat nutritional and balanced meals. I have developed healthy coping skills. Most of all, I have come to love myself, my body and all that I am. The program has changed me and my life for the better.

Willow Place saved my life, with their help I was able to rediscover the passions and hobbies I once had before replacing them with substances. I have reestablished a new connection with myself and higher self/higher power. Before I was able to love or believe in myself, I was guided by the staff’s faith in me to succeed. I feel free from the prison of my addiction, and wouldn’t have been able to achieve that without Willow Place. Anonymous

Prior to attending intensive out patient treatment at Willow Place for Women, I was spiritually bankrupt, as a result of inadequate teaching and modeling early in life from an addictive system. This impaired my interaction with others and led to a poor quality of life and addiction.

I began IOP at Willow Place and was immediately at home with other women that I could relate and open up to. Willow Place staff made me feel like there was hope and they became my recovery family. I broke myself down in the comfort of their care so I could be built back up into a strong woman that I love more than anyone else ever could or would.
