Welcome to New Brunswick Counseling Center and Burlington Comprehensive Counseling, a CARF-accredited outpatient substance abuse and mental health treatment center. Clinics located in Burlington and New Brunswick, New Jersey.  We place the welfare of patients and their families in matters affecting them above all other concerns. Since our founding in 1970, our team of dedicated members has remained committed to delivering courteous treatment to all patients.

Our Outpatient Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorders (COD) Programs offer a variety of services for treatment of non-opiate substance use disorders. Patients are required to complete a comprehensive substance abuse and/or Mental Health evaluation and may be referred for treatment through Drug Court, Intoxicated Driver Resource Center, Probation, DCP&P, other health care providers, or by self-referral.

We provide free pre-test counseling and free HIV testing to all patients enrolled in treatment at one of our sites. For patients who test positive for HIV and are opiate dependent, we offer on-site support groups once a week. If you are interested in any of these services or have any questions regarding HIV and AIDS, please call and ask to speak to case manager.

The Mission of New Brunswick Counseling Center and Burlington Comprehensive Counseling is to provide comprehensive, evidenced-based, integrated mental health and substance abuse treatment services. Services are individualized and provided in an outpatient setting for prevention, early intervention, and treatment of people with mental health, substance use and/or co-occurring disorders. Our program provides access to substance abuse and mental health services addressing the bio-psycho-social consequences associated with substance use and dependence. Our treatment services are not restricted to people from a specific geographic area.

Founded in the early 1970s, New Brunswick Counseling Center became a private, nonprofit agency in 1982. Today, the New Brunswick Counseling Center is fully staffed to treat people with mental health, substance use and/or co-occurring disorders. The New Brunswick Counseling Center is accredited by the Commission of Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), and is licensed by the State Department of Human Services to provide outpatient treatment for substance abuse and mental health disorders.

In an effort to increase drug abatement effectiveness in the state of New Jersey, Governor Christie signed bills into law in April 2015. Here at the New Brunswick Counseling Center, our medical clinic provides a full range of mental health and drug counseling services. Clients are assigned to licensed clinicians here in New Brunswick, New Jersey. With the help of experienced professionals in our outpatient counseling services, individuals and families work to build healthy relationships and satisfying lives. Whether the problems are temporary or persistent, we are here to help. Our staff includes a multidisciplinary team of medical, psychological, and social workers with an eclectic philosophy on the treatment and counseling of patients.
