You’re here today because you or someone you cherish is dealing with addiction to drugs or alcohol or is self-medicating through substance abuse. We genuinely understand these problems and provide treatment services for the wide range of physical, mental and emotional conditions that define today's complex substance use disorders, addiction and accompanying mental health issues. Oftentimes, the problems the men and women we service face aren't actually rooted in the misuse of substances. Instead, they’re caused by a harmful lack of personal substance; passion, purpose, direction, motivation, maturity, physical and mental well-being.

Without the proper insurance, we understand that it may cause problems for those who are trying to receive inpatient, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization care. Our organization offers alternative solutions at a fraction of the cost. You can get the treatment you need while living in a structured transitional housing while discovering the root cause that led to the addiction. At ULOC, in addition to providing transitional housing, we don’t just remove substances from the equation; we add the ingredients of healthy, happy living.

We're affiliated with behavioral health partners that will address your mental health needs thanks to Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act.

Safe and comfortable living experiences for individuals who are transitioning from prison, jail, drug treatment facilities and homeless women.

Services promotes health and wellness by exploring possible triggers for addiction and substance use disorder in group and individual settings.

Not everyone that uses drugs (or abuses them, for that matter) becomes addicted to them. While both concepts exist together on a similar scale, there is a distinction to be made between substance abuse and addiction. We don't label clients as addicts, instead we identify their problems. The conditions that many of us may believe to be addiction are, in fact, varying degrees of 'substance use disorder and are very often accompanied by co-occurring and underlying mental health problems such as anxiety and depression. Addiction, by some accounts, begins as a result of using a substance (drugs or medications). Drug abuse might eventually lead to an addiction. Addiction to drugs or alcohol is a damaging and chronic disease and should be treated like any other chronic illness; with compassion, aggressive treatment, and realistic expectations of long-term management. At ULOC, we know that each client is challenged with a distinctive set of situations and problems. We use a 90-day Comprehensive Assessment to identify your distinctive set of conditions so that we can understand their causes and develop individualized treatment.

Whether you choose to go to rehab, rely on self-help programs, get therapy, or take a self-directed treatment approach, support is essential. Don't try to go it alone. Recovering from alcohol or drug addiction is much easier when you have people you can lean on for encouragement, comfort, and guidance. Chris Kringle said it better when he talked to Winter Frost. He said, “changing from bad to good is as easy as taking your 1st step. You would never get where you are going unless you get up on your feet. A fast walking person is hard to beat”. So start today with your first step to recovery.

You can start making the changes today that you need to live the life you want, achieve more, and feel better. We have the ability to help many individuals facing substance use disorder and associated mental health issues, and drug and alcohol dependence. The first step is helping you understand the distinctive problems you currently face, and providing the most practical and effective treatment options. From the moment you pick up the phone and speak with us, you are on the road to recovery. Please call us today at 813-489-4500.

At this time, we are unfortunately unable to accept Medicare, Medicaid or AHCCCS
