We specialize in child, adolescent, adult, active duty military/Veteran, and geriatric psychiatry.

Located at the main campus is our 86-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital and outpatient center, as well as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy services. Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital also has three satellite outpatient centers located throughout the Florida Panhandle: Blue Springs Outpatient Center in Marianna, Okaloosa Outpatient Center in Fort Walton Beach, and Parkhill Outpatient Center in Tallahassee.

Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital provides acute psychiatric services in a safe and nurturing environment to children (ages 4 to 12), adolescents (ages 13 to 17), and adults (ages 18 and older). With confidentiality and sensitivity, our inpatient programs allow patients to begin treatment in an intensive and secure therapeutic environment where they are cared for 24 hours a day by our team of compassionate and highly trained professionals. Treatment includes medication management, individual, group and family therapy, classes in coping skills, and a wide variety of therapeutic activities, such as expressive therapy, art and music therapy, recreational therapy, and yoga therapy. Our clinical staff utilizes a range of evidence based treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) strategies, and Prolonged Exposure (PE). Our goal is to stabilize acute symptoms as quickly as possible so patients can continue treatment in a less restrictive, outpatient environment. Our four outpatient centers offer intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs with the same patient-centered care for individualized, specific treatment goals allowing the best continuity of care for our clients.
