Emergency services though Mid-South Health Systems is offered 24 horus per day, 7 days a week. This service offers assessment/evaluation for crisis stabilization when there is immediate threat of self harm, potential harm to others or grave disability as a result of mental instability.

Individual fees are determined on a sliding scale based on income and number of dependents. Medicaid, Medicare and some insurances are accepted, as are most credit cards.

The Mid-South Education and Marketing Department conducts a series of Spring and Fall workshops each year. These workshops are approved for continuing education (CEU) for nurses working in mental health settings, social workers, counselors and therapists.

Specialized contract training for business and industry is also available on a variety of topics to meet the needs of employees and the workplace.

An Annual Charity Golf Tournament sponsored by Mid South Health Systems raises money each year to help with the health and living needs of the seriously mentally ill.

Mid South Health Systems sponsors 6 community workshops annually to share information in the mental health field.

Mid South Health Systems is a public entity governed by a 14 member Board of Directors from the 13 counties served.

Mid South Health Systems provides therapists to work in the schools and provide professional services to children who may otherwise not be served.

The Arkansas Behavioral Health Institute is an annual event bringing together over 500 mental health providers and policy makers from Arkansas, and surrounding states.
