Personality and occupational content often run hand in hand. Have a look at the types and ways to increase your job satisfaction. You can take a mini Myers Briggs personality screen at humanmetrics.com

Automatic Negative Thinking (ANTS) can lead your brain into an anxiety driven life. Staying mindful of the present is a good skill to kill the ANTS. Living within the world you can control helps remove the ANT bed. Have a wonderful weekend.

If you are interested in the 16 aspects if personality this test is pretty well known for validity. I just took it and it seemed a pretty accurate profile for me. Again. these are just for educational purposes. I use a version of this test for career assessment.

Many people have heard of the Rorschach-inkblot-test. This Link will let you take the test online. I am trained in delivery of the test and interpretation. The online quiz offers limited multiple choice options for answers, which is not true of the real test which allows free association; nevertheless, it is still pretty accurate in the interpretations. Just remember to answer the questions broadly. http://rorschach-inkblot-test.com/

This is another personality test. this one examines 8 factors of personality and how others see you. I took the test, it was pretty straight forward it's based on self perception of how you believe others see you.

Looking for a fun way to evaluate your personality and interactions with others? This page offers a free mini "Myers Briggs" style personality assessment. I am an ENFJ, which I posted below. If you "take the test" at the top of the screen you will be able to see your positive personality traits and areas to be aware of when you communicate with others. This test protocol has been tested world wide for many years and has strong validity. It is also fun to read about personality types and examine areas to work on in the new year!

2016 is about to begin. Instead of New Year's resolutions, how about making small life changes that increase your body's natural ability to heal and digest food. No diet plan needed just healthy eating and stress reduction.

Ever wondered how you could manage conflict better? If you take this short quiz your conflict resolution style will be explained. :)

The power of touch can heal pain, ease stress, improve relationships and increase communication. Skin is our largest organ, which means we have multiple methods for improving our human condition through the art of touch.

If you are interested in learning a little more about your personality and how it affects your daily life, take this simple test, which is based on the Myers Briggs. It is fairly accurate. I use it in my office to help couples learn to understand each other better. I also use it with clients to help them build more effective social skills.

Many professionals have wondered why the body jolts into wakefulness as we begin to fall asleep. Theories abound. The information in this article is pretty comprehensive. I found it an interesting read.

A good night's sleep is an often coveted wish among many. Insomnia has become a chronic problem in our busy world today. There is no such thing as "too late" to watch television, get online, chat with people, play video games or go to work. Many of these activities are available right in your bed, where your head should be sleeping. As the Internet brings the world to your bedroom it also robs you of precious sleep. When the brain is over stimulated before bed, rest is often impossible. There are many techniques to induce sleep that don't involve medication; Meditation for one. If you are among the frequent sufferers of the too busy mind at bedtime or even bouts of insomnia, the link below may be the answer to your dreams. :)

Today- and everyday- Do more than just KISS- Connect to each other and share a moment while you build a happy relationship.

6 Second - Magic Kiss!

Relationship therapist, John Gottman, suggests that couples share a six-second kiss each day. “A six-second kiss is a kiss with potential.” Let the kiss speak for itself. "Just try connecting with your partner with a long, slow kiss". The Gottman Institute reports that the 6 second kiss is one of the keys to a happy relationship.

Have you had your six second kiss today?

Valentines Day is a time to openly celebrate the love you share with others. not just romantic love. ..All love. While we all strive to love each other daily, this day, much like mother's/father's day, is a day to give recognition to the happiness you share with that person. The history of St. Valentine is a story of courage to stand up for love - at all cost. St. Valentine gave up his life to support people in love who were being denied marriage.

The goal of most psycho-therapy models is to help the person in treatment build skills to cope with stressors, thus improving the individual's life. I love the work I do. The chance to help another human being grow strong enough to change their life is an honor.

Helping people learn ways to help themselfdoes not always require medication. The power of the session comes from unconditional positive regard, education, delivery of information and outsider insight. :) I love the work. I love the joy of watching a life change and grow.

At the request of April, I will start posting a few tips for living life with less stress, which improves overall health.

The first tip: Try guided relaxation to help with sleep. Insomnia is probably one of the more common stressors I see in my clients for therapy. Problems with lack of restful sleep is linked to issues with relationships, work, low energy for activities, school/college and a host of health conditions that result from being chronically exhausted. Good sleep hygiene is also a big influence on positive sleep.

When you are using guided relaxation for stress or sleep remember to breathe in during the time when you tighten your muscles and breathe out when you are letting the muscles relax. This will help your body build a better relationship with relaxation and focus the mind on understanding how to relax.

If this video does not set well with you, go to youtube and find one that will help you.

Sleep is very important to ALL areas of the body.
