Since 1967, Lakeside Behavioral Health System has provided specialized behavioral health and addictive disease services in the Memphis and Mid-South region. The 305-bed facility, located on a serene 37-acre campus in northeast Shelby County, serves as the setting for the treatment for children, adolescents, young adults, adults and seniors. Lakeside's comprehensive programs treat disorders such as bipolar disorder, psychological trauma, depression and anxiety, mental illnesses, suicide intervention and addictive disease disorders such as alcoholism, drug addiction and substance abuse. In addition to helping our patients, Lakeside is committed to helping those in our community understand and recognize the complexities often associated with behavior health issues or addictive diseases. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)

The Neuroscience Center at Lakeside provides outpatient TMS Therapy for the treatment of depression. Transcranial magnetic stimulation involves the use of very short pulsed magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain.
