STEPS is a private, not-for-profit, community based organization that offers comprehensive substance abuse education and treatment services to women, men, and their children regardless of age, race, religion or national origin. Priority is given to pregnant injecting drug abusers, pregnant substance abusers and injecting drug abusers.STEPS, INC. was founded in 1983 by a group of concerned citizens and is dedicated to serving the needs of the community.  Our clients are recognized as individuals who possess the inner resources necessary to create the desired positive change in their lives. Treatment consists of facilitating clients in accessing and utilizing those resources to live responsible as productive members of the community.Specialized Treatment, Education and Prevention  Services Inc. is licensed by the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families to provide substance abuse services.  STEPS is also certified by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). 

MISSIONSpecialized Treatment, Education and Prevention Services, Inc. (STEPS) is a private not-for- profit substance abuse treatment agency whose mission is to provide a continuum of treatment for substance abusing individuals and individuals with co-occurring disorders, prioritizing those who are indigent, pregnant, postpartum and/or have small children in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, and Brevard counties.
