The Program is derived from Florida Statute 985.301 and established in 1996. It offers early intervention, counseling, education to divert first time juvenile misdemeanor offenders.
The JAC is a comprehensive assessment center providing twenty-four (24) hour screening and assessment of arrested youth.
The Juvenile Drug Court provides services to juveniles, 13 to 18 years old who have been charged with a first-time, non-violent drug or alcohol offense.
The program provides early intervention through an array of chemical dependency counseling and educational services to juveniles and their families.
DISC Village, a non-profit community-based agency, has been in operation for nearly 40 years and is one of the largest and most comprehensive prevention, intervention and treatment agencies in Florida. Through the years, DISC Village has become recognized as a leader in the state for initiating, managing, and coordinating delinquency and substance abuse prevention/intervention programs in Leon County and North Florida. The agency grew from a Drug Information Service Center located on the grounds of Florida State University.
