Appalachian Community Services provides Mental Health, Substance Abuse, and Developmental Disability services to individuals, families, and communities within the seven western counties of North Carolina.

Research has shown that individuals have better outcomes when their care providers work together. We call that integrated care. Appalachian Community Services has psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, counselors, case managers, peer support specialists and support staff who work as a team with primary care physicians to meet consumers' needs.

We know that individuals need services at the time they ask for them, so we have coordinated our system to make access as fast and simple as possible.
