OAR is dedicated to helping you, your family, and your friends experience recovery from addiction. We have been helping individuals and their families overcome and recover from alcoholism, drug addiction and related problems for over 40 years. As a community supported organization, we provide a variety of treatment and educational services throughout West Michigan. Since our inception, we have helped over 60,000 individuals in their struggle with addiction. We have the expertise and experience to help you on your journey to recovery.

Addiction is serious and progressive. It effects us physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, financially, and spiritually. It is truly non-discriminatory. It knows no social or economic barriers. Neither race nor sex, nor the circumstances of birth or background, nor the quality of individual character will guarantee against it. Addiction is the #1 public health problem in our nation and our community.

In contrast to the despair that comes with addiction, treatment and recovery offer individuals and families hope. Hope that life can be different and that the future can be better. If you are visiting our site because you, a loved one, or a friend needs help, please stay and explore our site. We recommend starting with our feedback page to read what the people we've helped have to say about their experience. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact us. We are here to help you in any way we can.

We need your help in bringing hope and healing to those suffering from addiction. Even though about one of every three people you meet has a friend or family member suffering from addiction, most people don't know where to go to get help, or can't afford treatment. The simple act of helping someone to find a place to get treatment, or donating to help provide treatment can change someone's destiny. Click on the butterfly to learn how you can be a part of changing someone's destiny today.
