The Center for Problem Resolution has served Elkhart County for 29 years and was incorporated in 1989 in the Sate of Indiana. It was started as an alcohol and drug treatment center in 1987 and the domestic violence programs were added in 1991. The Center for Program Resolution's goal is to treat alcohol and drug addicted clients in an outpatient setting. To accomplish this, they offer an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Modified Outpatient Program (MOP), and Relapse Prevention program, as well as multi level educational programs. The Center's domestic violence program is well known throughout the state of Indiana and the Center was the first in the state to be certified to facilitate the programs after the Batterers Intervention Program standards were adopted in 2001. The Center authored the first scholarship program grant as a way of investing in people and the community. It has been one of the most successful grants in terms of helping an individual who is experiencing financial problems access treatment.
