Healthy Minds. Healing Hearts. Peaceful Communities.

“The Bridge exists to promote all aspects of mental wellbeing. We are committed to providing a supportive, holistic, empathic, and inspiring environment for all individuals who seek help and hope through our programs.” — Inya Chehade, CEO

The Bridge provides individual, group and family counseling to individuals in Essex and Union Counties who are struggling with substance abuse, family crises and mental health challenges.

Today’s over-stimulated and increasingly demanding world exacts a heavy toll. In our schools, we’re seeing panic attacks, cutting and addiction. Teens and adults alike are in ceaseless “fight or flight” mode, reacting to the 24/7 access made possible by technology. Seniors are fighting depression and isolation.

Our innovative programs are conducted in local schools, homes and our private counseling centers. They combine the best in therapeutic care with holistic techniques such as yoga, mindfulness and meditation.

We’ve been making a difference since 1971. Let us help.

Grief, Loss and Bereavement Support Group

Out of 284 national projects, 120 were selected as Pioneers by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Ashoka Changemakers.
