Our Mission at the Bakersville Community Health Center is to to improve the health of every individual in the greater Mitchell County community while providing care in a culturally sensitive, professional and compassionate manner with special emphasis on reaching the medically underserved population in Mitchell, Yancey, and bordering areas of Avery and McDowell counties.

As a Federally Qualified Health Center located in the mountains of North Carolina, we are a resource for wellness, prevention and quality care. We provide primary care, pregnancy care, women’s health, behavioral health, chiropractic, acupuncture and massage therapy services at our office in Bakersville. We also have a new office in Spruce Pine to improve access for patients living in the southern end of Mitchell County. We are committed to providing quality health care to patients in our service area, regardless of their ability to pay.
