Michigan Behavioral Health Institute’s office is located in Essexville, Michigan, just outside of Bay City, approximately 15 minutes north of Saginaw and 20 minutes east of Midland, Michigan. MissionThe mission of Michigan Behavioral Health Institute is to promote development of an integrated system of care for the co-occurring disorders of substance abuse and mental illness in the Tri-County Area.

Our program has come together through a vision of combined experience working with addictions and mental illness with a specific purpose of advancing the philosophy of education, treatment, and research into the complex issue of substance use disorders and mental health disorders. We are dedicated to helping each consumer achieve lasting sobriety and enjoying a new found quality of life. We strive to build a personal relationship with each consumer.

MBHI offers an integrated system of care and treatment for individuals and their families who are experiencing the co-occurring disorders of substance abuse and mental illness.

MBHI’s  treatment approach emphaszies dignified care and is specifically tailored for dually-diagnosed individuals.

MBHI is CARF accredited.Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities Consumers face a variety of options when deciding what services to use and who should provide them. Accreditation is a sign of quality and is an important consideration in their decision making. Consumers look for CARF accreditation in their choice of treatment for addiction and substance abuse services.
