I was with Wilmington for 28 days and I wanted to let y’all know I’m doing great.  I have nearly 7 months without a drink. I mean this from the bottom of my heart, you did a great job. I never felt more comfortable with you guys there. All of you made a life changing experience for me. I believe that WTC is absolutely the place to be if you want to get well.

Our inpatient detox program provides a safe and closely supervised environment in which patients can rid their bodies of the substances that they have been abusing prior to participating in our inpatient rehab.

Wilmington Treatment Center features an intensive inpatient rehabilitation program where adult men and women can receive clinically sophisticated care that has been personalized to meet their specific needs.

Consisting of four days of treatment each week at two convenient locations, our intensive outpatient programming (IOP) provides highly effective step-down care for patients who have completed residential treatment.

Wilmington Treatment Center was founded in 1984 by a group of individuals whose lives had been affected by the disease of addiction. Over the ensuing three decades, the program has remained committed to providing the best possible treatment via evidence-based programming, research-supported methods and modalities, and personalized care that is delivered with both compassion and respect.

Wilmington Treatment Center is a 139-bed center in beautiful Wilmington, North Carolina, where adult men and women who are struggling with addiction and certain co-occurring mental health disorders such as depression and anxiety can receive a complete continuum of life-changing care. Our services include inpatient detoxification, inpatient rehabilitation, partial hospitalization programming (PHP) with boarding, and intensive outpatient programming (IOP).

At Wilmington Treatment Center, comprehensive treatment is provided by multidisciplinary teams of talented and dedicated professionals, including an ASAM-certified medical director, a licensed certified marriage and family therapist, licensed masters-level clinicians, certified substance abuse counselors, a licensed recreational therapist, a certified art therapist, registered nurses, physician assistants, and other specialists. Licensed as a hospital and featuring a medical director who has experience as an oncologist, internist, and general practitioner, our program is uniquely prepared to care for patients whose chemical dependency is accompanied by complicated medical needs.

In addition to individual, group, and family therapy, Wilmington Treatment Center also features a robust recreation therapy program and daily leisure recreation activities. Among the many specialized treatment opportunities at Wilmington Treatment Center are Foundations Training for individuals who are experiencing chronic pain, the Young Adult Group for patients aged 18 to 30, the Middle Adult Group, and Operation Recovery for military members, veterans, and first responders.

I thank God each day for my new life and for you people at Wilmington Treatment Center.
