Adopting Healthy Lifestyles Osborne’s prevention and treatment services provide a holistic approach to substance use disorder treatment, preventing and managing chronic health conditions, and mental health. Osborne’s evidence-based services use cognitive behavioral interventions that build on our understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals affected by criminal justice involvement.
Reconnecting Families Osborne’s work recognizes the central role of healthy family and social relationships in reaching the desired outcomes of all of our programs. We offer opportunities for individuals to make, mend, and maintain relationships with their families and provide the children and partners of people who are incarcerated resources so they can navigate the intricacies of the criminal justice system, maintain contact and relationships with an incarcerated person, and address the challenges of reentry.
Achieving Economic Independence Osborne’s Workforce Development programs offer employment and training services that include vocational and educational assessments, career counseling, educational services, job readiness workshops, resume preparation, hard skills training focused on construction and building maintenance services, job search and placement assistance, and follow-up job retention support so that participants successfully adjust to workplace demands.
Reducing Reliance on Incarceration Osborne’ offers opportunities for people in jails, prisons, and community-based corrections (such as parole and probation) to create and maintain lives of responsibility and contribution. Our programs use coognitive behavioral interventions and mentoring to offer people the opportunity to change the way they think and behave, improve their employability, grow as parents and reconnect to their families.
Strengthening Communities The Osborne Association advocates for systemic reforms that divert people from incarceration to treatment, provide effective programs during incarceration that prepare people to return home, and remove barriers to community and family reintegration upon release.
