Celebrating 50 Years of Service to the Community

 2016  is a big year for Ravenwood as we are celebrating our 50th anniversary!  We have some special events planned in celebration including a client art show, a 5k run and a Friends of Ravenwood Health social.  More details will be coming soon.

Also, we have updated our name, logo and tagline.  Ravenwood Mental Health Center is now Ravenwood Health.  Our tagline is Help for Today, Hope for Tomorrow.  The new name represents how we have changed and where we want to go.  Ravenwood started as “mental health clinic”.  Over the years, we have added substance abuse prevention and treatment, community-based treatment, residential care and much more.  Most recently we partnered with Genoa Pharmacy to establish an onsite pharmacy.  Our goal is to offer total health care to the citizens of Geauga County, who are experiencing mental health or substance-related issues.    As many of you may know, those with severe mental illness have a life expectancy that is 20-25 years shorter than the general population.  Addressing all the health issues of the individual in a comprehensive manner is more likely to have a positive outcome.  At Ravenwood Health, we will pursue both physical and mental health recovery for the individuals we serve.

Our highly trained staff takes 10,000 calls each year addressing such issues as homelessness, concerns about suicide, domestic violence, mental health crises, and other related emergency situations. Ravenwood Mental Health Center offers counseling to students in the local Geauga County schools. Their highly trained staff is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
