Endocrinology and metabolism is a medical subspecialty with a keen focus on the glands and hormones of the body. Every organ system has hormone receptors and, thus, disorders of the endocrine system can affect the whole body ' from head to toe!

At Richmond University Medical Center, we deliver more babies than anyone else on Staten Island. Our NICU survival rate far exceeds national averages. Board-certified and board-qualified radiologists offer imaging services including CT, mammography, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, gastrointestinal and genitourinary radiology and interventional radiology.

Our Sleep Disorders Center is available several nights a week. Stay overnight in a comfortable room where our technician will monitor your heart rhythm, brain waves and airflow. We will then send a full report, with our physician's interpretation, to your referring or primary care physician within 48 to 72 hours. 

RUMC's Department of Surgery is a fully integrated department that includes a full range of services within general, thoracic, vascular, plastics, urology, ENT, orthopedics, gynecology and ophthalmology.

Under the direction of Joseph Motta, M.D., the Urology Center of Excellence treats urologic diseases and conditions that affect both male and female adult patients. The center houses a state-of-the-art shock wave lithotripsy and a new cysto-endourology suite. 

We provide comprehensive vision and eye care services and offer the highest level of treatment for cornea and external eye diseases, oculo-plastic and orbital reconstruction, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, neuro-ophthalmology and HIV-related eye conditions.

We provide comprehensive wound care management to the people of Staten Island. Our staff encompasses a multidisciplinary team of wound care specialists devoted to the treatment of chronic wounds. Each brings their own expertise to meet the individual needs of the patient, including plastic surgery, general surgery, vascular surgery and podiatry.

Richmond University Medical Center provides outpatient cardiology clinics with advanced diagnostics, along with therapeutic services for patients across a wide range of heart and circulatory conditions. Cardiac calcium scoring tests measure the severity of a patient's heart disease and assess the condition of patients suspected of developing CAD. Electrophysiology services include radiofrequency ablation, pacemakers, biventricular ICDs, biventricular pacemaker insertions, and implantable cardioverter defibrillators.
