MedTech Healthcare Group is a private, for-profit company founded by Marc D. Roup and Thomas Plaitano in 2006.  MedTech has been treating the community with evidence based medicated assisted treatments fighting the epidemic of opiate addiction that has plagued our nation and especially the communities of Pittsburgh.  North Western PA is the fourth highest area in the county for opiate addiction and overdose deaths directly attributed to abuse of prescription opiate pain pills and heroin.  MedTech has been treating these patients successfully for nearly a decade and has very high levels of success when compared to other forms of addiction treatment.  (Patients receiving medically assisted treatment have a 30% fewer death occurrance than those opiate addicts not receiving either Methadone or Buprenorphine treatment).  MedTech is in the business of saving and reclaiming lives and will continue to strive towards operating the best treatment facilities in the state and beyond.
