Our mission is to empower teenagers, young adults, and their families to make and sustain positive changes through prevention, intervention, and life skills services.

Former Vermont Governor Jim Douglas signs H.449 into law, raising the age limit of youth in foster care from 18 to 21 in Spectrum’s Drop-In Center in 2007.

For $8 a day, you can help teenagers, young adults, and their families turn their lives around.

We were so honored that Champlain College named our ED, Mark Redmond, as 2016 Distinguished Citizen.

Mark told the Class of 2020, “You don’t need to make an impact on this world after you get a degree. You can do it now. This city needs you. So please get everything you can out of these four years that you can, and give everything back that you can.“

Tickets for the Empty Bowl Dinner are on sale now! It’s Thursday, October 20th, 5:30 to 7:30 PM.

Join us for a family-friendly evening of dinner, dessert, handmade bowls that each guest may keep, live music, and stories about how you are changing lives. The event is sure to sell out, so get your tickets now!

Our youth recently visited Burlington Paint and Sip Studio, where lead artist Michael and the team donated an afternoon of painting for 14 youth.

“Being able to explore new talents is so important in helping our youth see themselves as more than just a ‘homeless kid,'” says Drop-In Coordinator Allie Forward. Thank you!

“I was about 15 years old when I moved out of my parents’ house.”

Josh used to be in our JOBS program. He spoke at a recent event about his life and experiences, and why your support helped him stay on track to follow his dreams.

Here is his story.

“…you wish people knew about you when they saw you walking down the street?”

“I wish people knew that all my past issues were mistakes, and I change through all my life experiences.”
