On June 27, gubernatorial candidates Matt Dunne, Peter Galbraith, Bruce Lisman, Sue Minter, and Phil Scott took part in a forum focused on “Community Health and Support Services.”  The event was moderated by Peter Mallary, Vice President of Government Relations and Community Outreach for The Vermont Association for Mental Health and Addiction Recovery and was broadcast by Vermont PBS.

Charlotte McCorkel, Director of Crisis Integration was  interviewed by WPTZ  at a recent symposium on  suicide prevention at the University of Vermont. McCorkel says, "We want to send a message that help is available for people who are struggling and there is hope for people in any kind of crisis."

In 2014, the Centers for Disease Control data shows Vermont ranked 7th among the states, with one of the highest suicide rates in the nation.
