Burgess’ Mission—Bringing Color to the Neighborhood
“Lexi Burroughs helped one of our SIM (Sequential Intercept Model) patients turn the corner on her depression by thinking outside the box…and visiting the patient at her home because the patient didn’t have transportation to the office. They took a walk…and talked. The next visit, the patient was able to get here, but Lexi and the patient took a walk during the session, helping the patient with her mood AND activity goals for the week. Way to go Lexi! This patient’s Health Confidence has gone from 5 to 8 over 6 months. And not a single trip to the hospital so far in 2015!” - White River Family Practice
“This has been a lifeline to me. I don’t know if I could be who I am today without the help I have received here. Thank you.”
“I think Clara Martin Center is a leader in the way mental health centers should be. And other centers could learn a lot from seeing how this center runs.”
“I feel that I am heard - not talked at or around. When I express a concern, my counselor always brings it back around to me and what is best for me, while working on my overall goals.”
“Clara Martin Center and the people who have made it what it is are incredible human beings. Their work is nothing short of greatness. I feel grateful for all the help I have received.”
