Serving over 23,000 individuals of all ages throughout Central Pennsylvania last year, Home Nursing Agency is the region’s premier not-for-profit provider of home healthcare, hospice and community-based services. Home Nursing Agency is well known for its mission of blending compassionate care through home healthcare, hospice, palliative, pediatric, and private duty care.

Since 1968, the Agency’s marked tradition of providing charitable care, patient education and diverse health and wellness services continues to expand and includes: adult day care services, behavioral healthcare and bereavement services for adults/children, services for people with disabilities, transitional and crisis housing, and early intervention for infants and children with developmental delays. The Agency also administers national programs and provides education and vouchers for wholesome foods through the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program and mentors first-time mothers through the free home visitation program, Nurse-Family Partnership. With the commitment from more than 800 employees, the Agency’s culture of excellence previously garnered CHAP accreditation and recognition as an ‘employer of choice’.

For nine years, Home Nursing Agency ranked as one of the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania. The Agency gained national recognition as one of Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work in Healthcare, and is a recipient of numerous awards for best practices and quality assurance. Home Nursing Agency’s Foundation received the Community Award from The Pennsylvania Hospice Network for the Agency’s extraordinary commitment to the hospice philosophy and to surrounding communities. The Agency's ability to serve the community is enhanced by the support of the United Ways of Bedford County, Blair County, Huntingdon County and the Laurel Highlands.
