On January 19th, Roxbury’s senior leadership team prepared and served a community meal to our neighbors most in need at the Grace United Church of Christ. Being able to give back to the local community was a rewarding experience for the entire team. Another Roxbury sponsored dinner will be held in April.

For two years in a row, Roxbury Treatment Center has been awarded by The Joint Commission the Top Performer Award for Key Quality Measures® for inpatient psychiatric treatment!  We are truly excited and honored to have received this award in both 2012 and 2013.

Roxbury brought together local community members and referral sources to honor our facility, which originally opened in 1984.  Over the years we have had 3 physical expansions to meet the needs of our community with the latest being in 2010.  We have also expanded programming to include not only inpatient substance abuse services for adults, but inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults and adolescents and a specialty substance abuse program for active duty military and veterans.

Dr. Fauzia Sheikh, MD, DFAPA, Chief Medical Officer for Roxbury was honored with a Distinguished Fellowship award from the American Psychiatric Association for her outstanding contributions to the field of psychiatry. We are honored to have such a dedicated psychiatrist on our team treating our patients.

For those family members and loved ones wanting to about addiction and co-occurring mental illness as well as gain support from others, Roxbury is happy to provide a once a month family education session. Roxbury is proud to serve our Nation’s current and former military as well as their dependents by being a TRICARE® certified inpatient substance abuse provider. We also are contracted and in network with the Veteran’s Choice program through HealthNet.
